Women and Handguns Course is now held at our beautiful outdoor range west of Jamestown.

We at WTS take pride in offering several courses specifically designed for women. Although all classes are open to women, we have found that many women aremore comfortable in a learning environment of women only. Whether youare seeking training for your daughter, wife, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother, or yourself, WTS offers several options of learning personal defense through weapons training or weaponless self- defense training.  

Just as we purchase life or car insurance “just in case”, WTS views training as a type of insurance. We hope we never have to resort to our training, but knowing that we have something to fall back on brings a huge peace of mind, whether it is a young woman going off to college with the knowledge to defend herself, or a woman in her home alone with the ability to safely operate a firearm to protect herself or her family. Empowerment can be fun. 

WTS believes that training should be professional, informative, and FUN! It should be small on lecture and big on hands-on instruction. Women’s courses should have women instructors, and should be conducted in comfortable surroundings. We have accomplished all of the above and hope you will join us soon.

WOMEN & HANDGUNS COURSE

This fantastic course is both an introduction to new shooters or a review for women who desire to build their confidence and skill in the safe use of a handgun. We know the unique situations of women and guns, that's why this training was specifically designed to meet the needs and concerns of women who want to learn to safely and confidently use a handgun for self-defense, while in the comfort of a small group setting of women only. This course offers fun professional instruction in a friendly, non-intimidating environment with women instructors who are led by owner John Popke. Whether you already own a gun or come without one, you will be pleasantly surprised how fun, motivating, and empowering this all-women class can be! Training includes handgun safety, California law, shopping 101, shooting stances, grips, positions, etc. Handgun Safety Certification available on-site for an additional fee. View and shoot a variety of newer, lightweight guns great for women. Chocolate-dipped strawberries are served at this training!

WOMEN’S SELF-DEFENSE

Simple, effective methods of protecting against attempted abduction, rape, car-jacking, assault, home invasion, or if broken down. Learn how to defend yourself against weapons, effective body pressure points for self defense, personal safety awareness, safety skills at home or school, walking or shopping.

This exciting workshop is loaded with realistic safety methods and self-defense techniques that really work. This is no boring lecture or exhausting workout! WTS instructors combine their law enforcement, SWAT, and martial arts experience to provide a fantastic balanced course in a safe, FUN, AND FRIENDLY environment. Learn what every woman ages 15-80 needs to know to feel safer. Includes pepper spray usage. Can also be provided on-site to groups of 10 or more. 3.5 Hours.  $40.00/pp.

WOMEN’S TACTICAL HANDGUN PHASE I

Due to popular demand, we have added this class to our women-only line of classes for the first time in 2011. Designed for women who have their handgun and now want in-depth training in our fun, women-only environment. Training includes tactical loading/unloading, clearing malfunctions, stance, grip, sighting picture, and gaining skill and confidence to safely and effectively operate the handgun and overcoming fears!  Yes girls, we will still serve you chocolate-dipped strawberries at this course!  200 rounds Cost:  $125.00
